What if they say yes?
So you've shown your friend the presentation and he/she's said yes and prayed the prayer to invite Christ into their life. What do you do now?
1. PRAY (out loud in front of him/her).
Thank Jesus for dying for their sin, for coming into their heart, for cleansing their heart and accepting them as God's child.
Pray that God would give them assurance of their salvation.
Pray that God would give them a hunger for his Word, the Bible.
Pray that God would give them victory over sin.
2. Ask them if they have a Bible that is easy to read. If not, GIVE THEM A BIBLE that they can read easily. King James may not be the best choice for a newborn babe in Christ.
3. Find out if they have a church home and TAKE THEM TO CHURCH. If they don't have a church home, invite them to your church and make arrangements to pick them up. If they do have a church that they attend, go to church with them next Sunday. Find out if their church believes and preaches the gospel. Maybe they've heard this all before, but never made a decision until you showed them the app. If their church doesn't believe and preach the gospel but they don't want to leave it, invite them to a small group where they can meet with other believers and grow. For younger believers that may be an Awanas or Pioneer Club or a church youth group. Go with them to the small group. Continue going with them until they develop at least seven friendships with believers in the group.
4. And finally, if they have a smartphone, BUY THEM A COPY OF THIS APP, so that they can tell others about what they've done. I'm not saying this to generate sales. I've designed this presentation to be so simple that even a brand-new Christian can share it. If they have an iPhone, Apple allows you to gift an app to their e-mail address. New believers are some of God's best witnesses.
You've delivered this new baby Christian. God has entrusted him/her to your care. Get their name, address, phone number, e-mail address, keep praying for them and check in with them often.
